How to make a ppt

I don’t know.

Yes, you read that. I am asking a question?
How to make it? Not answering the problem.
Don’t tell me website addresses and references for books. I've surfed through many. But none of them help us out properly.

I've already done 5 presentations in my engineering. But if I want to start again I am a new leaf. Yes my previous experiences are always helpful but I don’t exactly know what steps to follow. I've won prizes for 2 of my past ppts. Others were also received well but I miss a point here, My experience with ppts earlier gives me the inspiration, the energy; help me how to manage stage fear etc., for the next ppt but not a path to follow.

Whenever someone compliments me (especially girls) on my work or asks me how I did it I just casually reply ‘It’s easy’. But inside I am saying buddy I don’t know (Well I can't admit it after winning). No one believes when I tell the truth.

I know how to do it but not exactly what to do. So, I am asking the reader to comment on what all they know about making a ppt. Then we’ll try to sort it and make a code out of it. Not in the technical jargon that we find in all the myriad of informative websites and costly books that don’t have any free downloads anywhere (believe me even Google won’t work) but in a language that we can understand. Just on what to do? How to do? (Without the entire why to? explanation crap).

You can comment all experiences yours and your friends, how you've managed when it was your turn? , What all do we need? Related softwares and tips/tricks for using them , books, websites with instructions, data , ppts with you etc. what all that’s helpful.
Guys and gals let us help our friends and ourselves with what all we know.
Don't forget to comment or follow the post.

  2. I personally believe in the equation " 10 times oral reading = 1 time experimental approach ". The experimental approach gives you the clarity of ur understanding levels .

we have plenty number of ways to communicate or to express our views , but the best of it is to express it with a visual treat one of such kind is PPT presentation .

ppt preparation helps u to develop certain tactics to become a good communicator ,it is a easy nd effective way of communication now-a-days .

USE IN REAL LIFE : I'm a volunteer in a NGO .we work to provide a quality education to govt school kids . we found education through ppt is one the best way to get good results .

I hope this page will make our work easy .

    ALL THE BEST :)

  3. Hi,

For making a ppt collecting information is not enough. Apart from that, "organizing" it is important. we do get few ppt's from online or information from any source. But well organized ppt will only help you out to give a good impression on the ppt.
A well organized ppt is one which is just like a flowchart or like an algorithm i.e., step by step procedure of the topic, say, introduction, the process involved, how important it is, present usage, and what will be the future. All these are step by step procedures in making a ppt.
Make sure that all this contents should be "point-wise". Don't make a ppt in paragraphs. Just mention points in the ppt so that the audience can listen you more about what exactly you want to deliver about the topic. Simply making a ppt is not enough, you should be able to deliver it to the audience by elaborating the points on your slide.
After making note of all the points in your notepad or paper, display it in the power-point slides. Don't make it so colorful. A simple slide attracts more to the audience. Make use of images and clip-arts wherever necessary. That adds and attracts your slide much and audience can understand about it easily.

"How to present a ppt?" will be discussed in our next blog. Hope this might be helpful to you all.

    Regards,
    Salman.
